Moncenisio and the fort of Petite Turra
A fantastic journey that begins and ends at the lake of Mont Cenisio, a border area rich in history and populated by military fortifications that during World War II were part of the "Maginot Line".
The ascent is panoramic, from this point of view we are able to perceive of the path the imposing and stately construction that dominates the pass.
The visit to the strong one surely represents the most exciting part of the day. The construction is preserved in good state, and it’s possible to aced at the intern part. The view that can be observed from the postings rooms’ of shot of the soldiers makes the idea of the strategic importance of it’s position.
The run that is always amusing and never banal, lead us to ancient military roads build at the end of the 800, alternate to lines in single track that crosses the uncontaminated nature of the place.
The last asperity of day it’s represented by the Col de Solliers (m 2644). The ascent is hard, but the finishing line is near and it won't be' difficult.
Reaches the Hill it won't stay whether to take an amusing path, not dangerous, that will bring us to the point of departure. At this point we can drink and eat something.
